These new data sheet replace the existing information and should be used for the latest information on sizes, entry detail and terminal content.

STB Enclosure Range Update - UL - 25/09/2009

STB Product Update -UL

The STB enclosure range has a UL Listing for ‘Industrial Control Panel' to UL508A (File # E115376). But for the customer to receive this product with the ‘UL' label applied, you had to order the specific part number with a ‘UL' suffix.

As of now, we have adjusted the standard STB range to make things simpler for everyone.

This change allows all of the standard STB's to be marked with the UL industrial control panel label as standard from the factory, therefore eliminating the need to remember to order the 'UL' suffixed part number.

Benefits

• Possibility to reduce inventory - same product with UL marking.
• Simplified ordering procedure - no need to remember to order specific ‘UL' version.

Along with this change, we have also taken the opportunity to include another benefit to customer by the inclusion of a internal fixing kit of parts as detailed in previous ‘What's New' see STB Enclosure Range Update - M5 SFNS - 10/09/2009.

Other Options - Wider Temperature Range Applications

For the more extreme environmental application we have a solution to suit... a silicone gasket option with a certified temperature range of -65°C to +135°C. Please contact Customer Service Department for further information and part numbers for this application.

STB Enclosure Range Update - M5 SFNS - 10/09/2009

The STB enclosure range has been upgraded to include the M5 sliding fixing nuts as standard. These are used in the C profile rail (TAS20) to fix components i.e. terminal rail, therefore making it much easier when it comes to assembly.

• The kit of parts include the apropriate number of M5 nuts, screws and washers for each C profile rail fitted in enclosure as standard.
• Additional M5 slide fixing kits can be supplied when required, please contact your sales office.

One Terminal Enclosure Assemblies - 15/06/2009

This product offering is certified for the maximum loading possible and enables the end user to install additional terminals to provide the required configuration.

The product complies with the ATEX Directive section ‘Assemblies with Various Configurations’ whereby the user/installer selects and combines parts out of a pre-defined list of approved and certified components.

Cooper Crouse-Hinds is pleased to announce an expanded line of Ex-Cell Enclosures. 76 standard sizes in both stainless steel and painted steel offer our customers a complete and premium line of globally certified enclosures.

The Ex-Cell product line has been expanded to include:

Ex-Cell i Contractor Series - 21/04/2009

The Ex-Cell enclosure range is an “ATEX” certified enclosure / termination solution for category 2 (formerly zone1) applications and fully compliant with the impact, thermal and ingress requirements of EN50014, with an ingress protection of IP66.

Ex-Cell i Contractor series is zero gland plate enclosure that has been introduced to meet the requirements of the instrumentation market and has been specifically configured for the termination of field devices in multiples of 5 / 6, 10 /12 and 20 / 24. This reflects the most widely used cables configurations of 5 / 6 pairs, 10 /12 pairs and 20 / 24 pairs. The enclosure assembly is fitted with a pre-printed ATEX certification label.

Each of the configurations is fitted with 12, 24 or 48 terminals, plus a cable screen terminal and a horizontally mounted earth bar complete with screw clamps. Clearance holes are provided on the bottom face of the enclosure for a M32, M40 or M50 gland for home run cable and up to 6, 12 or 24; M20 clearance holes for the device cables. Potential unused clearance hole are fitted with 1, 2 or 4 Nickel-plated brass Exe stopping plugs for entries that may not be used. Other entries are taped for transit.

Additionally a Nickel-plated brass IP66 breather drain is fitted to the bottom face of the enclosure to help eliminate condensation and aid drainage of water in the enclosure, safe guarding the internal integrity of the enclosure. An optional Traffolyte identification TAG label can be on request.
